He won both Wimbledon titles, defeating Novak Djokovic in the final. Alcaraz became the World No. 1 for the first time in September 2022 after winning the US Open title. At that time he was 19 years, four months, and six days old, which makes him the youngest No. 1 in the ATP ranking history. Alcaraz began playing tennis at four, with his father, a tennis coach. As of 2024, Carlos Alcaraz is coached by Juan Carlos Ferrero, a former World No. 1 and Grand Slam champion.
