3 best quarterbacks of the 2026 class who remain uncommitted
#3. Derek Zammit – DePaul Catholic High School (Wayne, NJ)
Hailing from New Jersey, Derek Zammit has proven himself as a dynamic playmaker for DePaul Catholic High School. He has drawn significant attention from Power 4 programs.
This spring, he plans to visit Syracuse, Boston College and Pitt for Junior Days, with additional visits expected in the coming weeks. Syracuse, Mississippi State and Boston College have been the most consistent in their recruitment efforts, and Zammit expects to make official visits to all three this summer.
Zammit plans to visit Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech and has also received interest from Rutgers. He is ranked No. 24 nationally among quarterbacks by On3.
#2. Jared Curtis – Nashville Christian School, Nashville, TN
Jared Curtis, a 6-foot-3.5, 225-pound quarterback, is one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2026 class. With 37 offers from elite programs such as Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and USC, Curtis is ranked as the nation’s top quarterback and the No. 4 player overall by 247Sports.
Previously committed to Georgia in March, Curtis reopened his recruitment after decommitting in October.
#1 Ryder Lyons – Folsom High School, Folsom, CA
At 205 pounds and 6-foot-2 tall, Ryder Lyons from Folsom, California ranks amongst the top football recruits in the country. As a third-ranked quarterback in the 2026 class, Lyons has earned 33 offers from top college teams including USC BYU Oregon Ole Miss and Alabama.
Lyons played a pivotal role in leading his Folsom High School team to a stellar 12-2 record in 2024, including an undefeated 7-0 run in league play.
USC appears to be a strong contender in Lyons’ recruitment. His brother Walker Lyons currently plays tight end for the Trojans, so the program has both familial and geographical appeal.
