Carrollton vs. Grayson Georgia State Championship Preview: Important players, predictions and history

Georgia high school football is in the climax of the season with the Carrollton vs. Grayson state championship game on Wednesday, Dec. 18. It is a matchup befitting of a state championship game, with a lot at stake on both sides.

The game will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where an undefeated Carrollton Trojans side against a 13-1 Grayson Rams. Here are some of the important factors ahead of the game on Wednesday.

Carrollton vs. Grayson: Prediction

The Carrollton Trojans and Grayson Rams deserve to be playing in Wednesday’s championship game. The Trojans are the favorites to come away with the victory, entering the game with a 14-0 record. The Rams are coming into the game with their only defeat coming in the season opener against Collins Hills.

The game is hard to call, with Grayson having greater success in the state championship recently. Notwithstanding, Carrollton’s performance this season cannot be overlooked.

Kimauri Farmer

Kimauri Farmer is one of the talents surrounding Lewis in offense and making his job easy. The junior running back has rushed for 1,256 yards and 20 touchdowns this season.

Zelus Hicks

Texas commit Zelus Hicks has been at the heart of Carrollton’s defense, with 39 solo tackles and 28 assisted tackles this season. The three-star safety prospect will be pivotal to the Trojans’ chances of victory on Wednesday.

Grayson key players

Travis Burgess

Travis Burgess will lead Grayson’s offense again on Wednesday as he’s done all season. Burgess has more than 2000 passing yards this season for 22 touchdowns, rushing for an extra 539 yards and four touchdowns.

Tyler Atkinson

The Rams also have the No. 1 linebacker in the 2026 class in their squad. Atkinson, who is the co-regional player of the year, has amassed 127 tackles and 27 tackles for loss this season.

Josiah Victor

Victor is another presence in Grayson’s defense that will effectively slow down Carrollton’s offense. The North Carolina signee has been a key feature in the Rams’ defensive outfit this season.
