2026 class 5-star safety Bralan Womack vows to take Alabama visit for game against Georgia
Five-star safety Bralan Womack, from Hartsfield Academy in Mississippi, is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. The blue-chip prospect was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's game versus USF on Saturday, which the Crimson Tide won 42-16.
Womack told BamaOnline's Joseph Hastings that he is “100 percent sure” that he would be in attendance when Kalen DeBoer's team takes on Georgia on Sept. 28.
Womack's performance on the field has been stellar. Over the past four games, dating back to last season, he has recorded at least one interception in each game. In the 2024 season so far, he has tallied six tackles (one solo and five assisted) along with five interceptions. Furthermore, he has excelled offensively as well, adding 389 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
The 2023 season saw Womack amassing 26 total tackles and seven interceptions, while also recording 562 receiving yards. According to On3 Industry Rankings, he is ranked the No. 30 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 2 safety in the 2026 class and the top recruit in Mississippi.
Bralan Womack reveals his top 2 schools
According to BamaOnline, Alabama and Texas A&M are the top two teams in Womack's recruitment right now. He plays alongside 2025 Alabama three-star defensive line commit London Simmons and received an offer from the Crimson Tide in March.
“It means a lot for me to hold an offer from a school that’s been dominating for decades and to as be successful as they are, it’s special," Womack said via Touchdown Alabama.
Womack had the opportunity to experience the atmosphere at Texas A&M firsthand when he attended the Aggies' season opener against Notre Dame on Aug. 31. Despite the 23-13 loss, he was impressed by the warm reception from fans and the attention he received from the coaching staff (via Aggies Wire):
“I met with Coach Elko and Coach Ish after the game,” Womack said. “We talked about some key plays that the defense left out there. The offense couldn’t really pull out that big play to get them going.”
Alongside Alabama and Texas A&M, Bralan Womack is also evaluating options with schools like Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Ohio State. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Ohio State, giving them an 87.1% chance of securing his commitment. However, 247 Sports' Tom Loy has projected Notre Dame as a potential frontrunner for his final choice.
