2026 class WR Brayden Robinson receives offer from Ryan Day's Ohio state after recent visit
Red Oak (Tex.) wide receiver Brayden Robinson, a top-rising junior in the 2026 class, has reportedly received an offer from Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day. He joins fellow 2026 wide receiver Mike Brown in receiving an offer from Ohio State on the same day.
Ohio State recently kicked off its camp season with its third recruitment camp of the year, which attracted high school football talents from across the country. Many players had the opportunity to show their skills, and some, like Brayden Robinson, left with an offer in hand.
Robinson took to X/Twitter to share his excitement about the offer:
"#AGTG WOWW After a great visit and and a great conversation with @brianhartline & @ryandaytime I am blessed to have earned an offer from THE Ohio State University!!!"
In Columbus, Robinson had the chance to work with Ohio State’s wide receivers coach, Brian Hartline. Robinson and Brown were not the only athletes to receive offers from Ohio State during the camp.
The Buckeyes also extended offers to several other prospects, including 2027 tight end D'Angelo White, 2028 quarterback Neimann Lawrence, 2027 wide receiver Dakota Guerrant, 2027 linebacker Liufau Loumoli and 2026 cornerback Camdin Portis.
Can SMU win over Brayden Robinson?
Brayden Robinson boasts an impressive list of nearly 35 Division I offers. This list includes powerhouse programs such as Auburn, Colorado, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Nebraska and Texas A&M.
However, SMU remains a strong contender for the talented wide receiver, as their recruiting efforts with Robinson have been long-standing and strategic.
“It’s really just relationships. I’ve been recruited by SMU since I was in eighth grade,” Robinson said [via On3]. “Keep building with those guys there and it’ll be something special with it.”
Keeping Dallas' top prospect like Robinson at home will strengthen the team while also uplifting community pride, and he is aware of the sentiment (via On3):
“It means a lot because everybody’s always talking about staying home to represent the Triple D. Being able to have the opportunity to do that, it’s kind of surreal to me, but we’ll see what happens in the future.”
However, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine suggests that Texas, Texas A&M, and LSU are also strong contenders for his commitment.
Robinson is ranked the No. 175 player, the No. 28 wide receiver and the No. 23 prospect in Texas in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. The On3 Industry Rankings lists him as the No. 200 player, the No. 32 wide receiver and the No. 25 prospect in Texas in the 2026 class.
