3-star Texas WR Gracen Harris commits and signs to Mississippi State Bulldogs
The 2024 High School football season is nearing its conclusion, but recruiting has been heating up, with Texas WR Gracen Harris signing with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Players from all over the country have signed and committed, and some are even early enrolling in their schools to start preparing for the upcoming college football season.
College football programs have been making some noise regarding recruiting, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are among those that got big-time recruits on early signing day in December.
Class of 2025 wide receiver Gracen Harris out of Ennis High School in Texas, committed and signed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the early signing period on Monday.
The commitment/signing came as a surprise to some because Gracen was committed to the Oklahoma Sooners since May of 2023 but he de-committed on Dec. 2, just a few days before the early signing day.
With the reopening of his recruitment, other schools still had a chance to get a commitment from Harris. Some wondered where he would eventually commit and sign to and Mississippi State ultimately landed the recruit.
The announcement of Harris' signing to Miss state was posted on social media and recruiting websites.
Gracen Harris breakdown
Gracen Harris is rated as a 3-star prospect, 101st best receiver in the country and the 96th player in Texas, according to 247sports. He had over 10 offers from schools like Mississippi State, Baylor, Florida State, Oklahoma, Kansas and more.
Gracen is an athletic receiver with speed and quickness with a background in Track and Field, competing in the Long Jump and Triple Jump. At 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, he tends to play in the slot where he's had ample prodution on the field. Harris wins matchups as a slot receiver against outside linebackers and safties. In addition to receiver, he has played quarterback for his team as well.
In his junior season in 2023, Gracen threw for 531 yards and seven touchdowns to four interceptions, while having 1,031 yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns.
In his senior season in 2024, he accumulated 177 passing yards and one touchdown to one interception at quarterback, while rushing for two touchdowns. As a receiver, he totaled 43 receptions for 760 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.

Mississippi State has the 26th overall 2025 recruiting class, according to 247sports. Their recruiting class features nine players who signed their Letter of Intent, including three 4-star recruits.
