5-star prospect Jerzy Robinson has a clear favorite as she shares 2-word reaction to the CFP national championship game
No. 1 ranked 2026 prospect Jerzy Robinson has been very vocal about her support of the Ohio State Buckeyes for the College Football Playoff (CFP) national championship game. The five-star combo guard showed which team she wanted to win in her Instagram stories as Ohio State took on Notre Dame on Monday.
"Go Buckeyessss," Robinson wrote in the caption.
Previously, Robinson predicted that Ohio State would win the CFP national championship game on Instagram. She was proven correct as the Buckeyes defeated the Fighting Irish on Monday, 34-23, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
This is now the ninth national championship for Ohio State and also their seventh-consecutive win against Notre Dame. The national championship was also their first one in over 10 years, as the last time they won was back in 2014 during the inaugural CFP national championship.
As for Robinson, Ohio State and Notre Dame are among the schools trying to recruit her. However, both schools are not considered favorites to land the 2026 prospect, as On3 ranks them with only a 5% chance of recruiting her. She is still a junior, though, which means that there is still plenty of time for the Buckeyes to make a push and recruit her for their program, as she already rooted for them.
Jerzy Robinson is gearing up for a showdown against rising star Hamiley Arenas
Jerzy Robinson currently plays for California powerhouse school, the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, which has been unstoppable so far with its 13-game winning streak. Their next matchup will be an interesting one, as she will be facing off against another prolific scorer in rising star Hamiley Arenas, the daughter of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, who plays for Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks).
Their showdown is scheduled for Monday, though Robinson and Sierra Canyon are the favorites to win against the freshman star and her squad, given that the Trailblazers previously dominated two of the teams that had already defeated Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks), such as Marlborough.
The guard battle between the two stars will be an interesting watch. Hamiley averages 22.8 points, 3.3 assists, 12.7 rebounds, 3.2 steals. and 0.9 blocks, while Jerzy Robinson is fresh off dropping 40 points against Louisville, which has previously defeated Notre Dame.
