5-star uncommitted prospect Brayden Burries scheduled to visit Tennessee Volunteers for their game against Mississippi State
Brayden Burries, one of the few uncommitted prospects from the Class of 2025, has scheduled a visit to the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday during their match against Mississippi State. This was reported by 247Sports' national basketball analyst Travis Branham.
While this will be Burries' first visit to the Volunteers, coach Rick Barnes originally planned on hosting the combo guard on the weekend of the Alabama football game.
The five-star prospect is ranked as the No. 12 recruit nationally, first in the combo guard position and second in California. Last season, in his junior year, Burries played 35 matches for Roosevelt High School and posted averages of 24.8 points, 3.5 assists, 7.9 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per contest.
Brayden Burries talked about his visit with 247Sports:
"I am just looking forward to meeting with the staff more and seeing how the school is," Burries recently told 247Sports national basketball analyst Travis Branham about his upcoming visit with the Vols. "Where it's located, how they run their system, their practice and their games."
The 6-foot-4 combo guard also spoke highly of head coach Rick Barnes and assistant coach Rod Clark:
"It's been good," Burries told Branham about his relationship with Tennessee. "My main point of contact is Coach Rod and Coach Barnes. They have been in contact with me every day and we have been having good conversations. They got a lot of trust in me, they got a lot of belief in me and they're going to let me play through my mistakes."
Burries has been an important part of the roster for Roosevelt. He leads them in points per game (28.3), FG% (54.0%), rebounds per game (8.9) and FT% (84.0%).
Burries has taken official visits to Arizona Wildcats on Feb. 3, SMU Mustangs on Sep. 9, Alabama Crimson Tide on Sep. 28 and Oregon Ducks on Oct. 26. He has also taken unofficial visits to USC, Arizona, Duke, UCLA and Houston.
