"Always trying to take pictures": Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony comments on mom La La when visiting a famous art collective
Kiyan Anthony, a four-star basketball recruit and the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, continued his vlog around Japan during his trip there last summer with his mom, La La Anthony. He was there with several other family members to take a break after his busy summer, which included a trip to the Paris Olympics, the FIBA U17 World Cup, and playing for Team Melo during the Nike EYBL Peach Jam.
After going to Kyoto and visiting a Shinto shrine and grabbing a bite to eat, they visited teamLab Museum Kyoto, which is part of the international art collective known as 'teamLab.' There were plenty of beautiful areas in the museum, and at first, Kiyan was unsure how to feel being there:
"Man, I don't know where we at, man," he said. "This is fire though, we un some like alternative world." (13:48-13:54)
However, the Long Island Lutheran star was enjoying himself with the many different light exhibitions at the museum. However, when he was in a room that created sculptures out of light, he noticed his mom enjoying herself a lot more than he was.
"Whoever thought of this is really a genius," he said. "And look at her, always trying to take pictures." (15:05-15:16)
La La Anthony was doing a photo shoot while inside the museum, though Kiyan and the others soon joined in. It was soon revealed that they had a private tour of the teamLabs Museum, with the group getting some of the rooms all to themselves.
Kiyan Anthony talks about his experience touring Japan
Kyoto was Kiyan Anthony's final stop during his vacation in Japan, though he was mostly just shopping with his mom, cousin, and uncle throughout the trip. He had a few words regarding the experience.
"Yeah, Japan was lit," Kiyan Anthony said in his vlog. "Never experienced something like that before. It wasn't like water, like beach and stuff, but it was just like vibey." (17:01-17:15)
He ended his trip by saying:
"Tokyo Vlog is a wrap. It was a movie, Man, we're in a museum and it's a wrap," he said before sliding down a ramp. (17:18-17:29)
He still has a big decision coming right up, though, as he is about to decide which college he will go to. The No. 32-ranked shooting guard now has to decide between USC and his father's alma mater, Syracuse.
