Baby Gronk issues 4-word reaction to Bo Nix's electric pass/play for a 93-yard TD
Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos' rookie quarterback, is settling into the NFL. With Nix at the helm, the Broncos (8-5) have won their last three games and are battling for a playoff spot.
Nix delivered one of the season's top passes against the Browns on Monday. Leading by four in the third quarter, the Broncos began their drive from their five-yard line. Nix launched a 93-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Mims, extending their lead over Cleveland to double digits.
The play made rounds on social media and generated a lot of buzz among football fans. One of those fans was Baby Gronk, aka Madden San Miguel. The social media influencer left a four-word reaction under the NFL's Instagram post.
"ROOKIE OF THE YEAR," he wrote.
Nix tallied 294 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while leading his team to a 41-32 win at home. Despite his subdued performance, the rookie QB showed glimpses of his superb talent throughout the game.
How good was Bo Nix in high school?
Bo Nix is one of the better-performing rookies this season in the NFL. The Denver Broncos' starting quarterback was a five-star recruit in high school.
Per 247 Sports, Nix tallied 10,393 passing yards and 127 touchdowns while rushing for 2,112 yards and 34 touchdowns. He was also a two-time state champion, with his second championship coming in his final high school game.
Based on his incredible high school stats, a number of top programs expressed their desire to sign him. He received offers from Auburn, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, LSU, Clemson, Florida and Tennessee. However, the then five-star recruit chose the Auburn Tigers in Jan. 2018.
He completed his college career with the Oregon Ducks after transferring from Auburn in 2021. Nix quickly became a star for Oregon, leading the team to a 22-5 record over two seasons.
Bo Nix was ranked No. 32 and was the second-best quarterback in the Class of 2019, as per On3. He was also the third-best overall recruit from Alabama.
