Bronny James’ girlfriend Parker Whitfield posts sweet message for Lakers rookie on National Boyfriend Day

LA Lakers rookie Bronny James' girlfriend Parker Whitfield posted a sweet tribute on National Boyfriend Day.

“Bf day! I love you!” she posted alongside a photo of the couple posing with Mickey Mouse.

Bronny reshared the photo on his public account, giving fans a glimpse of their relationship.

"I love you babyyyyy," he responded.

Parker Whitfield is the daughter of actor and director Salli Richardson-Whitfield. Salli, an Emmy nominee for directing, shared in a recent Us Weekly interview that her children, Parker and Dre, have largely stayed out of Hollywood’s glare.

She said:

“My kids have stayed pretty much out of the spotlight because they really weren’t — they’re not interested in it,”

She also noted that Parker, a student at Spelman College, is more focused on studying economics than Hollywood.

“The kids are pretty normal because my daughter’s going to Spelman [College]. She’s like, ‘I’m studying economics. I don’t care about this Hollywood stuff.’,”

Bronny’s brother, Bryce James, meanwhile, shared a photo of his girlfriend writing, “bf day,” with a heart emoji.

Bronny James, a guard for the Lakers, is gearing up for his NBA debut after one season at USC. He was picked 55th overall by the Lakers in the 2024 NBA draft.

Lakers coach JJ Redick discusses plans for LeBron and Bronny James

While Bronny James is expected to spend part of the season in the G League, Lakers coach JJ Redick has confirmed that the rookie will share the court with his father, making them the first father-son duo in NBA history.

LeBron James re-signed with the Lakers this offseason to continue playing alongside his son. Redick expressed the unique experience of watching them in practice:

"I mean, you get to coach your own kids when they're little. But he's in the freaking NBA, shooting right over here on this basket with his son. ... They were doing 2-on-2 pick-and-roll drills to start practice against the coaches. One of them's guarding the ball. One of them's guarding the screener. It's surreal."

LeBron, now 39, is heading into his 22nd NBA season, while his 19-year-old son Bronny James is preparing for his rookie year. The regular season kicks off on Oct. 22 when the LA Lakers face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
