Carlos Boozer's son Cameron Boozer shares the latest ESPN high school basketball rankings as Columbus High School overtakes Prolific Prep
Son of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, Cameron Boozer continues to display why he is the No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2025. Cameron and Cayden Boozer, who are in their senior year at Columbus High School, committed to their father's alma mater, Duke, on Oct. 11.
The Boozer twins will join the Blue Devils next season. Meanwhile, they continue to represent their high school, leading them to the first spot in Week 9 of the ESPN High School Boys’ Basketball team rankings. Cameron shared the post on his IG story as Columbus overtook Prolific Prep for the first spot.
Columbus is followed by Brewster Academy at the second spot and Montverde Academy at the third. Darryn Peterson's Prolific Prep went down seven ranks, sitting in the eighth spot in the new rankings.
The Explorers defeated No. 8 team Perry (Gilbert, Arizona) with a scoreline of 75-65 on Monday and dominated Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, California) 76-53 at the Hoophall Classic to reclaim the top spot.
Cameroon Boozer led the Explorers with 31 points and 13 rebounds against Perry and 25 points, 15 rebounds and six assists against Notre Dame.
With a 17-3 record this season, the Explorers have won four games in a row starting from their 61-44 win against Riviera Prep on Jan. 10. Their only losses have come against PPNC on Nov. 19, Long Island Lutheran on Dec. 28 and Link Academy on Dec. 29.
The No. 2 recruit has played 90 games for the Explorers, averaging a double-double with 20.7 points, 3.6 assists, 11.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.1 blocks per game.
Cayden and Cameron Boozer's multi-year NIL deal with Trading Leaf Cards
With a NIL value of $1.6 million, Cameron Boozer ranks at the second spot in the High School Basketball NIL Rankings and No. 33 in the NIL 100 rankings, per On3. The Boozer twins signed a multi-year NIL deal with a collectible card company Trading Leaf Cards on Wednesday.
"It's a blessing to be able to have an opportunity like this," Cameron Boozer said.
"You know, it's something that a lot of people dream of..."To be able to see yourself on a card is just an amazing feeling. It's a blessing. And we grew up collecting our dad's cards too."
The Boozer twins will be joined by Shelton Henderson and Nikolas Khamenia on Jon Scheyer's team next season.
