CFB recruiting analyst believes Clemson is a potential destination for 4-star QB Brady Hart
Notre Dame football was once considered the frontrunner for 2026 quarterback Brady Hart, a four-star recruit from Cocoa, Florida. Analysts who previously favored Notre Dame are now re-evaluating their positions and for many, the Clemson Tigers have now taken the lead in securing his commitment.
Hart has been actively visiting multiple programs, having already been to Tennessee, Clemson, LSU, and Texas A&M this month. He is now enjoying a Michigan visit this week.
Back in April, Brady Hart told On3’s Chad Simmons that there was a high likelihood he would commit before his junior season began. At that time, Clemson was expected to make their offer, which they did on June 8 after a successful camp. This offer appears to have boosted Clemson's standing with Hart. According to Simmons, the Tigers are now the favorite for the quarterback.
When discussing his experience at Clemson's camp, Hart expressed admiration for their unique recruiting approach.
“Clemson is not selling you on recruiting or pushing Clemson on you, they just want to get you to the place, show you the program and let you decide if it fits you,” Hart said (via On3). “That is different. It is something I really like.”
Hart has not set a definite timeline for his decision but told The Clemson Insider that the Tigers remain a standout option.
“It stands out for sure. It’s just the faith aspect that coach Swinney has and what that program is built on. Just how they do things. They just do everything with excellence. That definitely stands out. And I love that about it.”
Brady Hart's father, Alex, was an MLB pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hart grew up playing baseball, but his passion for football has taken the lead. During his sophomore season, Hart completed 288 of 437 passes for 3,759 yards, with 41 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. His performance helped the Cocoa Tigers achieve their sixth state championship.
Brady Hart excited for his Michigan visit this weekend
Brady Hart secured an offer from Michigan this past spring and is set to explore the Ann Arbor campus from June 15-16. Following this, he will continue his tour with visits to Ohio State on June 17 and Alabama on June 23. This trip marks Hart’s inaugural visit to Ann Arbor, and he revealed his excitement to On3 before the visit:
“The whole thing for me is just getting a feel for the culture. The culture of the team. The culture of the staff. I want to check out campus and see if it’s a place I want to live and go to school for four years.”
Hart is expected to spend quality time with offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell, who has played a huge role in his recruitment.
“We’ve been chatting a bunch. He’s been awesome. He’s doing a great job of recruiting me.... Coach Campbell said he’s going to let Ann Arbor speak for itself. He’s really been on me lately."
One piece of advice from Campbell that has resonated with Hart is to avoid making hasty, emotional decisions. The young star also decided what he would like to explore during the visit.
“I just want to go in-depth on the offense with Coach Campbell. I want to get a feel for the room. What’s it like? Is it a room I want to play in some day?”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Brady Hart is listed as the No. 90 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 9 quarterback, and the No. 5 prospect in Florida. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 144 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 9 quarterback, and the No. 25 prospect in Florida.
