Deion Sanders Jr. welcomes new Colorado four-star WR commit Adrian Wilson to the Class of 2025
Four-star receiver Adrian Wilson committed to Colorado's 2025 class on Saturday. The standout from Weiss High School in Texas had also been linked to Oregon and TCU before giving his pledge. Oklahoma was also in the race and had a 20.9% chance of securing his commitment, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
However, Wilson’s commitment was revealed just before Colorado’s Saturday night game against Cincinnati. Coach Prime's son, Deion Sanders Jr., welcomed Wilson by sharing the commitment news on his Instagram story.
This decision marks the fourth time the 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect has committed during his recruitment journey, with previous commitments to TCU, Oregon and Arizona State. He committed to the Sun Devils during an official visit in April before decommitting on Wednesday.
Just days after Wilson backed out of his Arizona State commitment, Colorado wide receiver coach Jason Phillips extended an offer that ultimately sealed the deal for Colorado. Wilson is ranked by Rivals as the No. 18 recruit in Texas, the No. 152 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 27 wide receiver in the 2025 class.
Adrian Wilson opens up about his Colorado commitment
Adrian Wilson became the second to join Colorado's 2025 class this week, following three-star defensive lineman Christian Hudson, from Daytona Beach, Florida. Four-star safety Antonio Branch flipped his commitment from Penn State to the Buffaloes last month.
Wilson shared the excitement of his commitment with On3’s Steve Wiltfong:
“What excites me the most is the opportunity to go somewhere in the air-raid offense and start."
Speaking with 247Sports' Jordan Scruggs, Wilson elaborated on his decision to choose Colorado:
"Definitely seeing how many people were bought into winning and the program. Being the most prepared for the the NFL as possible. And continuing to better myself in all ways, including off the field."
Adrian Wilson is the 10th committed player in Colorado's 2025 class, joining four-star Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. in the wide receiver room. The cycle now consists of five four-star prospects and ranks No. 64 in the nation.
This cycle also features interior offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden, cornerback Alex Graham, safety Antonio Branch, tight end Corbin Laisure, linebacker Mantrez Walker, tight end Zayne DeSouza and offensive tackle Jay Gardenhire-Crooks.
