"Force feeding Bryce James highlights": Hoops fans unimpressed by LeBron James' son's senior year debut in 87-33 win over Millikan HS
After missing the first games of the season for the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, Bruce James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, finally made his season debut. Sierra Canyon secured a dominant 87-33 win over Millikan High School on Saturday.
In the video, Bryce was shown sinking a couple of three-point shots, as well as handing assists and even blocking an opponent's three-point shot. However, fans were still not impressed by these highlights.
"Force feeding Bryce James highlights," one fan said.
"Bryce James is a overrated bench warmer," another fan said.
"They trying to hard saying Bryce James debut but showing entire team. Sometimes we just don’t have to post.," one fan said.
Fans pointed out that while the first two highlights showed Bryce shooting threes, most of the other highlights showed his teammates. However, there were also several commenters complementing LeBron's youngest son.
"That shot looking way better I give him that," one fan said.
"He didn’t have that much expose to the internet like bronny. Wasn’t distracted fr. Might be the better bron," another fan said.
"Mark my word, bryce will be better player in the nba than bronny," one fan said.
LeBron James taunts teammate about Ohio State amid rumors that Bryce James may be going there
Bryce James is already a senior, and while other schools have expressed interest in him, he actually only has two official offers, and those are from Duquesne and Ohio State. However, during a post-game interview after last Sunday's 103-99 win over the Sacramento Kings, the four-time NBA champion may have dropped a hint at where his youngest son might be going to college.
The elder James was reportedly watching the Ohio State vs. Tennessee game and was taunting Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht about his alma mater, Tennessee, getting beaten in that football game. The James family is originally from Ohio and it is not surprising he would be cheering for the Buckeyes, but the taunt got many talking if this was a hint that his son might be going back home to Ohio soon.
On3 currently ranks Ohio State as the favorite to recruit Bryce, with a whopping 92.6% chance.
