Four-star Texas WR signee Jaime Ffrench celebrates Longhorns' spirit with cute snowman
CBS News reported that Florida's Panhandle has seen 4 to 8 inches of snow this week, which created unusual and hazardous conditions for locals. However, four-star Texas wide receiver commit Jaime Ffrench embraced the rare weather with excitement.
On Tuesday, Ffrench shared a photo of a snowman on X, captioned with:
"Hook’em.”
Ffrench is one of 25 committed players in Texas' 2025 class, which has also added four players in the transfer portal. As an offensive-minded coach, Steve Sarkisian's potential is lucrative for prospects like Ffrench.
"Coach Sark, his ability to do X's and O's, his ability to do a lot of things with the receiver position," Ffrench said following his commitment (via Jacksonville Florida Times-Union)."It's a big time for sure."
Texas is coming off a strong 13-3 record in the 2024 season, but with the nation’s No. 1-ranked 2025 recruiting class, the Longhorns are poised for even greater success. Besides Ffrench, the cycle has blue-chip prospects like safety Jonah Williams, defensive lineman Justus Terry, wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, edge rusher Lance Jackson, cornerback Kade Phillips, athlete Michael Terry III and linebacker Elijah Barnes, among others.
High school coach raves about Jaime Ffrench
Jaime Ffrench is the No. 9 wide receiver in the 2025 class, the No. 6 recruit in Florida and the No. 45 prospect in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He is known for his ability to excel in the intermediate passing game, but he is particularly dangerous on back-shoulder fades and possesses exceptional body control.
Mandarin High head coach Toby Bullock holds Ffrench in high regard.
“As far as pure natural catcher, being able to control his body, manipulate his body for the catch, those type of things he’s the best I’ve ever seen,” Bullock told On3.
In his senior season in 2024, Jaime Ffrench recorded 621 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. As a junior, he tallied 62 receptions for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns, following a sophomore season with 44 catches for 671 yards and five scores. Besides football, he is also a standout athlete on his high school track team.
