"Honestly, the James kids are not that good": Hoops fans react to Bryce James' skill show in front of dad LeBron and brother Bronny

Popular trainer Chris Brickley posted a video of Bryce James working on his game as his father LeBron and brother Bronny watched on. Brickley was all praise for Bryce and captioned the post:

"Showing off his elite skill set. He’s more than ready for a big senior year!!!

However, some fans weren't impressed by Bryce's display and voiced their opinions in the comment section.

One comment reads:

“Honestly, the James kids are not that good.”

One fan mocked Bryce’s stats at Nike’s EYBL, where he averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in five games. Another comment suggested the 17-year-old needed to prove himself in the hood, making a comparison with five-star shooting guard Alijah Arenas.

Fans also compared the two brothers, seeming to favor one over the other. For instance, a comment under Brickley’s video said that Bryce averages less than his brother Bronny did in high school.

However, there were several positive reactions praising Bryce's abilities and rooting for him.

What's next for Bryce James?

Bryce James is only weeks away from commencing his senior high school season at Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles, California. The three-star shooting guard is one of the highest-ranked prospects out of California, ranking within 247Sports top-100 nationally.

With one more high school season to play, Bryce James has two college offers from Duquesne and Ohio State. There are also speculations of interest from USC, where his brother Bronny played for a year before declaring for the NBA Draft.

There are many who would like to see LeBron James play in the league alongside his two sons. However Bryce will not be draft eligible until 2026, and LeBron might have drawn the curtains on his illustrious career by then.

Nevertheless, Bryce has a decision to make about how his basketball career plays out. His abilities are undeniable. His soft touch on the ball and understanding of the game are great assets. Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 190 pounds, he also has a high growth ceiling, making his physical potential incredible.
