"I can see myself playing on Kyle Field": Four-star WR Aaron Gregory reflects on his commitment to Texas A&M
Texas A&M has had its first 5-0 start in Southeastern Conference play since joining the conference over a decade ago. The phenomenal record also brought Mike Elko's program a huge recruitment win as four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory committed to the Aggies 2026 class on Sunday.
Gregory chose the school over LSU, Ohio State and Tennessee. Speaking with On3, he described the unique qualities that drew him to College Station, saying:
"Man, I’ve been here so many times, and the way the coaches welcome me like family means the most. Also, the culture of the school is one of a kind, and you will only find it one place. The brotherhood of the team, they always stick together through the good and bad.”
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect has made several trips to the school during his recruitment. His decision came shortly after attending its 38-23 victory over LSU at the packed Kyle Field.
"It was a great visit as always. This is around my fourth time in College Station," Gregory told 247Sports' Tom Loy. "Definitely feels like home. I can see myself playing on Kyle Field, definitely got to get used to how loud the crowd is."
Gregory’s relationship with Elko dates back to the coach's time at Duke, and the trust they have built played a big role in his decision. Ahead of the LSU game, he had a conversation with Elko, who mentioned the program's preparation and execution to stick to greatness.
Aaron Gregory is ranked by Rivals as the No. 28 prospect in the nation, the No. 3 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 5 recruit in Georgia.
Texas A&M's recruiting class update following Aaron Gregory's commitment
Aaron Gregory's commitment on Sunday was soon followed by his high school teammate Jordan Carter. Both Douglas County High School (Georgia) players led the program to 8-1 with the recent 42-0 win over Chapel Hill (Georgia) on Friday.
Later on Sunday, Texas A&M continued to build its defensive strength with a commitment from four-star linebacker Samu Moala. The Aggies previously secured their first blue-chip recruit in the cycle with four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga’s commitment on Oct. 17.
This cycle also features four-star safety Markel Ford, four-star defensive tackle Trashawn Ruffin and three-star cornerback Ryan Gilbert.
With these commitments, Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is now ranked No. 4 in the nation and No. 2 in the Southeastern Conference.
