"I'm one call away": Michigan rapper shares encouraging words for BYU signee AJ Dybantsa
AJ Dybantsa isn't just making waves on the court. He's also catching the attention of the music world. On Monday, Michigan rapper Karon Malcolm Vantrees, known as Veeze, shared an Instagram story featuring Dybantsa listening to one of his songs.
"Keep being you, lil bro; I'm one call away if you ever need me🫶🏼," Veeze captioned the story.
Dybantsa reshared the Instagram story from Veeze, adding two crossed fingers emojis.
Dybantsa's passion for music is well-known. In an interview with The Players’ Tribune in October, the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2025 discussed how pop music prepares him for challenges on and off the court. Among his favorite artists is five-time Grammy winner Drake, whom he hopes will watch one of his games.
The BYU signee is also a fan of Michigan rapper Luhh Dyl. In November, Dybantsa gave a shout-out to Dyl's latest single, "Slow Down" featuring Veeze, by posting a screenshot from Apple Music.
"Needed this one, man! @veezeworst @luhhdyl," he wrote.
