"I have nothing to say": BYU signee AJ Dybantsa shares his reaction to Utah Prep teammate's humiliating dunk on opponent
AJ Dybantsa, the No. 1 recruit in the 2025 class, committed to the BYU Cougars on Dec. 10. However, he was back with Utah Prep for their game against Duncanville (Texas) at Lehi’s Holiday Hoopfest showcase on Saturday. While Dybantsa recorded a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, he took to Instagram to react to a dunk by his teammate.
The highlight was posted by Hoopfest Basketball where Jackson Kiss rose high and threw down a poster slam which got the crowd on their feet. Dybantsa took to the comments section with his reaction.
"I have nothing to say," Dybantsa wrote.
Fans also shared their reactions.
"Damn Duncanville took two Ls yesterday, Football team lost and now this poster 😂😂😂😂😂😂," a fan wrote.

"That's the one nephew 🔥 ofaz from nz," another fan wrote.
Dybantsa talked about his team's performance in the postgame conference.
“It was a good performance, but we won, and that’s all that matters,” Dybantsa said. “We’re improving. We’ve lost a couple games, but (tonight) we bounced back.”
Dybantsa has consistently performed at a high level for Utah Prep. Against Duncanville, he showed how good of a teammate he was by setting up screens, making extra passes and finding the open man.
“It’s a team game,” Dybantsa said. “I mean, everybody’s got to eat. I’m not the only one playing. I try to put on a show, but I also want to keep it simple. The main objective is to win, but I try to warm up the crowd and put on a little show.
What is AJ Dybantsa's three-step process?
AJ Dybantsa appeared in a video uploaded on YouTube by Stephen A. Smith on Dec. 11. His father, Ace Dybantsa, accompanied him as he talked about his recruitment process and what's in the future for him.
"I mean it's just a blessing but it's only one step closer," Dybantsa said (42:21). "I told my dad it's a three-step process. This is only step one. The draft will be step two and the Hall of Fame speech is step three."
Dybantsa is set to join forces with Xavion Staton and Chamberlain Burgess on Kevin Young's team next year.
