Kim Mulkey's assistant coach Gary Redus drops 3-word reaction to LSU commit ZaKiyah Johnson's victory dance

ZaKiyah Johnson showed another reason why coach Kim Mulkey secured her commitment after she finished with a double-double against Assumption on Sunday.

The No. 11 recruit in the Class of 2025 finished with 30 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks in a dominating 73-42 victory for the Sacred Heart Valkyries.

With a stellar performance, Johnson was seen showing off her dancing skills with teammate Amirah 'Tootie' Jordan in a video uploaded by 'G-Lens Creative Media' on Instagram on Monday.

Kim Mulkey's assistant coach Gary Redus was impressed by Johnson and took to the comments section to drop a three-word reaction:

"AYE SAY GANGGGGG @zakiyahmonae_," commented Gary Redus.

The video also presented some highlights of ZaKiyah Johnson's game as she was seen dominating on both ends of the floor:

The 6-foot-0 shooting guard has played 125 matches for Sacred Heart and is posting averages of 20.0 points, 3.6 assists, 7.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest.

Her breakout season was in 2022-23 when she was a sophomore. In that campaign, she played 38 matches and scored 27.4 points, grabbed 8.2 rebounds, dished out 3.6 assists, stole the ball 2.0 times and had 1.1 blocks per contest.

This season, Johnson has played 13 games, averaging 22.3 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 3.4 APG, 2.2 SPG and 1.1 BPG.

Johnson also won the Gatorade 2023-24 Player of the Year Girls Basketball - Kentucky while averaging 18.9 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 4.3 APG, 2.1 SPG and 0.8 BPG in 37 games last year.

Johnson set a record in Sacred Heart's win against Waggener last month after scoring her 2,378th point, surpassing Crystal Kelly from the Class of 2004.

ZaKiyah Johnson's plan before heading to LSU

ZaKiyah Johnson became one of the four top recruits signed by Mulkey from the 2025 class. The other three include four-star point guard Bella Hine, five-star small forward Grace Knox and four-star shooting guard Divine Bourrage.

During an interview with sports anchor Mason Horodyski, Johnson stated that she wanted to "be the greatest to come out of Kentucky:"

"I want to be the greatest to come out of Kentucky. I want to go to the league, I want all the little girls to grow up and say, I want to be like ZaKiyah," said Johnson.

She also talked about her off-court presence:

"You can be a good basketball player but as a person, you should show who you are as a person."

With the best recruiting class in 2025, how far will Kim Mulkey's LSU go next season?
