How good is AJ Dybantsa?
AJ Dybantsa is the consensus No. 1 basketball prospect in the 2025 class. The small forward stands at 6-foot-9 and weighs 200 pounds. The Brockton, Massachusetts native attends Utah Prep in Hurricane, Utah.
Despite reclassifying, Dybantsa remains the top-ranked high school basketball star by all major recruiting platforms. 247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein described him as having “an advanced understanding of how to score from his spots.” He added, “AJ Dybantsa is the best prospect in high school basketball.”
Considering this, it is hardly surprising that the top college basketball programs have so heavily recruited Dybantsa. He has received 29 college offers so far, according to 247Sports, with BYU leading the contest to sign the five-star small forward.
The Cougars are tipped 68.9% favorites to land him by the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. However, other top programs, including Kentucky, Alabama and North Carolina, are equally racing hard to secure Dybantsa's commitment.
His last visit to BYU was on Oct. 11, with a previous unofficial visit in June.
