LSU WBB signee Divine Bourrage shares post to highlight major achievement by Tigers' Aneesah Morrow
No. 12 recruit in the Class of 2025, Divine Bourrage has continued to show her support for the Tigers through her social media handles. While there is still another year left before Bourrage plays for LSU, it is evident from her Instagram stories that she keeps herself updated with the latest happenings at LSU.
This time, Bourrage took to her Instagram story to share a major achievement by LSU guard Aneesah Marrow in the game against Seton Hall on Dec. 18.
Marrow was awarded the Player of the Game for that match. The famous basketball page, 'University of Hoophall,' took to their Instagram page to upload Marrow's highlights. It was later reshared by Divine Bourrage on her IG story:
Marrow led the Tigers to a dominating 91-64 win with a double double, scoring 24 points on 61.5% shooting, including 66.7% from the 3-point line. She grabbed 19 boards, dished out two assists, stole the ball thrice and had one block in 35 minutes.
Marrow has been performing well for the Tigers. She averaged a double-double in her last three games. Against the Grambling Lady Tigers, Marrow had 26 points, 16 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals and 1 block while she shot 71.4%.
She continued her streak against Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on Dec. 16. The Chicago, IL native played 26 minutes and scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, combined with five steals on 40% shooting.
As for Divine Bourrage, the Davenport North High School player earned the Girls Basketball Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year 2023-24 award, averaging 19.8 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 5.6 APG and 3.0 SPG. She also helped her school to an impressive 22-3 record and a Class 5A State tournament qualifier.
Kim Mulkey calls Divine Bourrage the perfect fit
Head coach Kim Mulkey was present at Bourrage's high school game on Dec. 13. She talked about why the 5-foot-9 guard would be the perfect fit for the Tigers:
"The position she plays was the first thing, we need a perimeter player," Mulkey said (1:02 onwards). "She can handle the point guard position, she can play the off-guard. I'm just gonna enjoy that she's going to be an LSU Tiger."
Kim Mulkey secured the No. 1-ranked class with top recruits for the second time in three seasons. Bourrage will join other top prospects, Grace Knox, ZaKiyah Johnson and Bella Hines next year.
