Jaime Ffrench Jr. signs for the Texas Longhorns

Jaime Ffrench Jr. had received offers from LSU, Tennessee and Miami, among others, but chose to team up with the Longhorns. However, he was originally committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. The retirement of former head coach Nick Saban in January of this year allegedly led Jaime to recommit from Alabama.

In an August interview with On3, he spoke about his decision to pick the Longhorns:

"Really just the family feeling. They jumped on me quick, and they stayed on us. It feels like an open family there. Coach Chris Jackson, and Coach Sark... they all play a big part. Coach Perry, the recruiting director, all of them. They’re all part of it.”

A week after committing to Texas, Ffrench inked a deal with Rosenhaus Sports, joining the likes of Wisconsin's Tyler Van Dyke and Ohio's Carnell Tate. Rosenhaus Sports' is a legacy name in the sphere of "NFL brokering" and has negotiated more than 1,000 contracts for around $8 billion.

Before signing for the Longhorns, there was some talk about Ffrench potentially landing elsewhere. The receiver noted that the Florida Gators had a chance at flipping him after a November visit, but that never materialized, with Ffrench signing for Texas in December.
