Carmelo Anthony and his son Kiyan Anthony were in Las Vegas to catch up with Team USA during their training camp for the Paris Olympics. The team, made up of NBA superstars, is one of the favorites to bring home the gold.
Kiyan was seen sharing a hug with LeBron James, who is his dad's good friend and former Team USA teammate.
"Orange forever. The Anthony family with Coach Boeheim (and the King too). @usabasketball," the caption read.
LeBron James will be part of this year's team and will look to win his third Olympic gold medal. James and Carmelo Anthony played alongside each other in three Olympic teams in the past.
James and Anthony were part of the 2004 Olympic team that won the Bronze medal, the "Redeem Team" of 2008 and the 2012 team, which both won the gold medal.
Kiyan Anthony foresees LeBron and Bronny James winning 2v2 against him and Carmelo Anthony
Kiyan Anthony was asked who would win a 2v2 game between him and his father, Carmelo Anthony, against LeBron and Bronny James. The 17-year-old was quick to answer and said that he thinks the LA Lakers duo will win against them in a close matchup.
"I think Bron and Bronny would win, to be honest," Kiyan said, as per ESPN. "Just because Bron is still in the league. He's still doing what he doing."
Carmelo replied to his son's prediction via X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I'm going to remember this," the former New York Knick wrote.
Bronny was drafted by the Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, and 55th overall. He recently signed his rookie contract, and has already appeared in the Summer League.
Kiyan, on the other hand, is one of the best prospects from his class and is ranked no. 27 nationally, as per On3 rankings. The four-star shooting guard from Long Island Lutheran High School has received college offers from multiple schools, such as Syracuse, Florida State, and Manhattan, among others.
