Red Bull athlete AJ Dybantsa shares a thrilling drift moment from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway track
AJ Dybantsa, the No.1 recruit in the 2025 class, signed a ground-breaking deal with Red Bull on October 15. He shared a thrilling drift moment with the energy drink brand from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway track. The Utah Prep small forward reshared @redbullusa's story on his Instagram handle on Saturday, November 23.
In Las Vegas for the Grand Prix, Dybantsa showed support for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Before cheering them on, he got a chance to experience the speed himself. He posted a clip on Instagram, starting with a view of the track’s signboard, followed by a Red Bull F1 car with Dybantsa sitting inside.
The heat rises as AJ Dybantsa steps into a sky-blue Ford Mustang. After greeting the driver, the 6-foot-9 basketball star asked for the safety parameters while putting the seat belt on.
"Super safe, right?" Dybantsa questioned twice.
"What's that?" the driver responded.
Despite the humorous answer, Dybantsa got himself comfortable and even started recording the moments from the ride. The Mustang makes some smooth drifts, filling the track with smoke.
"Who's jumping in? @aj.dybantsa @fordperformance," Red Bull USA wrote.
Dybantsa was in the stands as Verstappen finished fifth in the qualifying race. His teammate Perez couldn't get the desired result, finishing 16th following an early elimination. Verstappen would be eyeing the championship on Sunday, November 24. He will start ahead of Lando Norris, the only man left in title contention this season.
