Top 10 defensive linemen signees: Which teams got the highest-rated DLs?
The National Signing Day on Dec. 4 gave us a lot of clarity about where the top athletes from the Class of 2025 will play their college football. The class included three five-star defensive linemen, as per On3, and all of them have found a home for next year.
The top 50 DLs from the Class of 2025 have all signed with a program and are set to showcase their talent at the collegiate level.
Let's take a look at the top 10 defensive linemen from the Class of 2025 and their destinations.
Top 10 defensive linemen signees
#10 Malik Autry
Malik Autry, a four-star defensive lineman from Opelika, Alabama, announced his commitment to the Auburn Tigers on Feb. 1, 2023. He chose the Tigers over programs such as Florida, Ohio State, and UCF.
Autry is ranked No.87 nationally and is the sixth-best overall prospect from the state of Alabama, as per On3. He was Auburn's first commitment from the Class of 2025.
#9 Kevin Wynn
The four-star recruit from Greensboro, Georgia, pledged his allegiance to the Florida State Seminoles on June 24 this year. He had offers from Georgia, Texas, and Alabama, but decided to stick with his commitment to the Seminoles.
Wynn is ranked No.74 in the nation and is the 11th-best overall prospect in Georgia, per On3. He is the No.19 Seminoles' top-ranked signee as per 247Sports.
#8 DJ Sanders
DJ Sanders signed with the Texas A&M Aggies on Dec. 4 after being committed to the program since August 2024. He picked them over programs such as Texas, Michigan, Oregon and Alabama.
Sanders is ranked No.70 in the nation and is the 15th-best overall recruit from the state of Texas. Texas A&M faced off competition from the Longhorns for him.
#7 Nate Marshall
The four-star prospect from Oak Park, Illinois, initially chose the Auburn Tigers but flipped his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines on Dec. 3. Other programs that were in contention to land the four-star recruit were Texas, Alabama, and Notre Dame.
Marshall is ranked No.59 in the country and is the third-best overall recruit from his home state, as per On3. He is also the seventh-best defensive lineman in the Class of 2025.
#6 Isaiah Campbell
Isaiah Campbell became one of Tennessee Volunteers' 25 signees from the Class of 2025. He chose the Josh Heupel-led program over Clemson, North Carolina, and Duke.
He is ranked No.48 in the country and is the second-best overall recruit from North Carolina. He pledged his allegiance to the Vols on National Signing Day.
#5 Amare Adams
Four-star defensive lineman Amare Adams will play college football at Clemson next year. The 6-3.5 athlete chose the program over other schools such as South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Adams is the 47th-best overall recruit in the country and is the best prospect from the state of South Carolina, as per On3. He is arguably the Clemson Tigers' best signee from the Class of 2025.
#4 Iose Epenesa
Iose Epenesa played his high school football at Edwardsville High School. He announced his commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes on August 15 this year. Epenesa chose Iowa over Miami, Utah, and Penn State.
The four-star prospect is ranked No.43 nationally and is the second-best overall recruit from the state of Illinois, as per On3. He is one of the Hawkeyes' 15 signees from the Class of 2025.
#3 Jahkeem Stewart
Jahkeem Stewart is the third-best defensive lineman in the country and is rated as a five-star recruit, according to On3. He chose the USC Trojans over programs such as Oregon, Ohio State, and LSU.
The 6-5.5 athlete is ranked No.16 in the country and is the best overall recruit from the state of Louisiana, as per On3. He had multiple visits to USC's campus and is one of the program's best recruits from the class.
#2 Justus Terry
Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry is one of Texas' best signings from the class. The young phenom signed with the Longhorns on Dec. 6 and chose them over the likes of Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama.
He is ranked No.9 in the country and is the third-best overall recruit from the state of Georgia, according to On3.
#1 Elijah Griffin
The Georgia Bulldogs created one of the best classes from 2025 prospects, and five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin played a huge role in that. The best defensive lineman in the country, as per On3, announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Oct. 18.
He chose Georgia over programs such as South Carolina, Miami, and USC. According to On3, Griffin is ranked No.5 in the country and is the best overall prospect from his home state of Georgia.
