#3. Tennessee Volunteers

Volunteers, through their active recruiting moves and program revival under Josh Heupel, have become an attractive choice for Harris.

Known for its passionate fanbase and rich football history, Tennessee offers a blend of tradition and modern development that appeals to Harris.

“The environment of the school, the history and the culture are all key things that I look at during my visits. ... I want to be at a place that fits me for my educational and athletic abilities,” Harris said to On3 of what he's looking for in a program. “I also want to play for a program that can help me get to the next level.”

Tennessee was one of the first SEC programs to offer Harris, extending the opportunity in Jan. 2023.

#2. Missouri Tigers

Keenan Harris' home-state school, Missouri, is a natural contender in his recruitment. The Tigers were the first major program to offer him in late 2022. Missouri's strong 2024 season (9-3, 5-3 SEC) and solid defense strengthen their case for Harris.

#1. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Nebraska has made a strong impression on Harris, emerging as an early favorite in his recruitment. Harris has visited Lincoln multiple times, including a trip to witness the Cornhuskers' 14-7 victory over previously unbeaten Rutgers on Oct. 5.

“It was a great visit and the coaching staff showed a lot of love and they showed me how their defense really is,” Harris said.

Nebraska offers Harris a chance to join a team on the rise. Harris described his experiences in Lincoln as positive.

“And I’m excited to have an opportunity to play for (a program) that’s live right now and rolling," he said. "The new building and all the new facilities. And just being able to talk to the coaches is always good. I really like it up there.”

Keenan Harris' recruitment remains competitive, with offers from elite programs like Oregon, Penn State and Ohio State.
