Top 3 landing spots for four-star prospect Kendall Guervil to the class of 2026 ft. Florida

Maliha

Four-star defensive lineman Kendall Guervil is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. The prospect has already received offers from Georgia, Indiana, Florida, Florida State and UCF, among others.

Guervil is ranked as the No. 249 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2026 class and the No. 46 recruit in Florida, according to On3. Meanwhile, 247Sports lists him as the No. 169 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 19 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 29 recruit in Florida.

Let's take a look at which three programs have the most potential to earn Guervil's commitment.

Top 3 programs vying for Kendall Guervil's commitment

#3. USF

Despite USF's modest 1.3% chance of landing Kendall Guervil, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Bulls are still in the mix. Recruiting often brings surprises and prospects sometimes commit to programs that were not initially seen as frontrunners.

With only Elijah Dias committed to the 2026 class, the Bulls may try hard to pursue the defensive lineman to potentially earn their second commitment in the class.

#2. Miami

Miami holds a 16.7% chance of securing Kendall Guervil's commitment. The Hurricanes have ramped up their communication with him since June 15, when coaches were allowed to directly contact 2026 recruits.

Guervil attended Miami's prospect camp last month, where he had the opportunity to work closely with co-defensive line coaches Jason Taylor and Joe Salave’a, as well as head coach Mario Cristobal.

“They thought I did well at the camp,” Guervil told On3. “They liked what they saw, and I feel like I put on a good performance for them.”

The prospect is expected to join the annual recruiting cookout and Miami remains high on his priority list as well.

"I think Miami is a great school. It’s definitely on my list of schools I want to go to.”

Miami's 2026 class already boasts commitments from Jordan Campbell, Malachi Toney and Dereon Coleman.

#1. Florida

Florida has emerged as the top contender for Kendall Guervil, with a 71.1% chance of earning his commitment. The Gators have been recruiting him aggressively since his freshman year and their efforts have not waned.

“I’d say that they are top three right now, unofficially,” Guervil told On3. “Just the culture over there, how they treat me. I feel like I’m home every time I come up there. I like the D-Line and I love how they run their D-Line program. ... Everyone has great energy and I just love it. It feels like family.”

Guervil has visited Florida seven or eight times, including trips last Friday and Saturday. During these visits, he observed the team’s training routines and participated in Florida’s "Grill in the Ville" recruiting event.

Kendall Guervil spent time with the defensive line coaches: Luis McLeod, Gerald Chatman and Jeremy Patterson. The coaches were engaged in activities like scavenger hunts, games and even a rap battle.

"They were checking up on me and my family, making sure I was okay. They’re really good guys, straight forward — they look out for you. … They’re awesome people. Great coaches."

Florida has four-star prospects Will Griffin and Jaelen Waters committed to the 2026 class.
