4-star SF Ethan Mgbako

Watch: 4-star SF Ethan Mgbako's dazzling performance for Carmelo Anthony's alma mater, Oak Hill Academy

Ethan Mgbako, a four-star small forward rated by ESPN, has got Instagram buzzing after a short video clip of his performance at the NIKE EYBL basketball tournament. The video, uploaded on Tuesday, highlights the Oak Hill Academy prospect's shooting skills, as he was seen sinking buckets and scoring 3-pointers with ease.

A huge chunk of the video captured Mgbako's performance last week against Legacy Early College at the NIKE EYBL Scholastic League. The Roselle, NJ native finished that game with an impressive 20 points, leading Oak Hill Academy, former NBA veteran Carmelo Anthony's alma mater, to a 77-65 victory.

Oak Hill Academy went into the matchup after securing a win against AZ Compass Prep in their first game of the league. However, unlike their first matchup, which was closely contested, Oak Hill showed a clear intent to win.

By the end of the first quarter, they had registered a commanding 23-12 lead. The team outscored Legacy Early College in the first three-quarters of the game. Even though the opposition managed to take a 25-22 point lead in the fourth quarter, Oak Hill was already up by 15 points.

So far, Oak Hill has played three games in the NIKE EYBL Scholastic competition, winning two. Ethan Mgbako has been crucial for the team, as he's averaging 18.7 points per game with a total of 56 points across all three matchups.

Specifically, he delivered an impressive 18 points in his team's first game, a 65-63 win over AZ Compass Prep. The 6-foot-6 SF also scored 18 points in their last game, an 80-71 loss to IMG Academy.

In the first edition of the NIKE EYBL Scholastic League last year, Oak Hill Academy finished with a 6-6 record. With the help of top performers like Ethan Mgbako, Lindsey Deondrea and Williams Donovan Jr., the team might be able to do better.
