WATCH: Kiyan Anthony asks dad Carmelo tough questions on Team USA Basketball for Paris Olympics
The USA Men's Basketball Team's preparation for the Paris Olympics is in full swing. Their training camp is being held in Las Vegas, and they recently got a special visit from former NBA stars, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade. The former even revealed his preferred starting lineup for the competition in Paris, when asked by his son, Kiyan.
Kiyan Anthony, placed his father on the spot, asking the tough question, and Carmelo gave an interesting answer:
"I would go with Steph, Braun, AD, KD, and I would go with, who am I missing? I'll scratch that, I'll go young," Carmelo said. "I'll go young, I'll go Halliburton, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, I'll go Jason Tatum, and I'm missing one more, Book. Then I'll come off the pine with Bron, KD, Joel, Steph, you know what I mean? And Jrue Holliday."
Some of the best talents the country has ever produced form the current Team USA squad. Legends such as Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant will be a part of the team alongside young superstars such as Anthony Edwards, Devin Booker, and Jayson Tatum.
The national team had a disappointing FIBA World Cup last year, where they finished fourth. That led to a lot of criticism, and as a result of that, most of the top players in the country decided to team up for the Olympics this year. They are expected to go all the way and win the gold medal in Paris.
