"It's a lot of fun because we grew up just beating each other up. I was the older brother, we just played one-on-one ,and usually every one-on-one turned into a boxing match," Ellis said (12:33 - 13:13).
"But now to get to a point where we made each other so much better that we're now able to beat up on other people together and win; and when I went to OTE, my first year, we separated and he won a championship, I won a championship and then to be able to all bring it all back together with my dad as a coach again and now win a bunch of games, it's been unbelievable just to be able to do it with your family," he continued.
The 6-foot-1 shooting guard also talked about opening an academy and teaching kids how to grow their social media as part of brand building:
"I started this academy, it's called LS Academy and I teach kids how to grow social media and also teach them about basketball and training, all this stuff," Ellis said (9:19 - 10:10).
Eli Ellis ranks as the third-best player in North Carolina and as the 19th shooting guard overall. According to WSN, Ellis has a NIL value of $186,000 with 1.2 million followers on social media.

Younger brother Isaac Ellis also opened up about playing with his brother and former Moravian Prep player. The 2026 class guard talked about his responsibilities as a point guard in a video uploaded by Bacon Network on Jan. 21.
"Personally, I just have to keep getting better, and hopefully, I'll get to that level," Ellis said. "I'm really just here to facilitate; I'm more of a point guard, so just try to find him in his spots and score when the ball comes to me," he added.
Eli Ellis is set to join the Gamecocks next season, while his brother still has one more year to decide on his college choice.
