Oregon football recruiting class of 2025: Top 3 recruits Dan Lanning brought this offseason

The Oregon Ducks have had a fantastic recruiting season under Dan Lanning. Their 2025 class ranks 5th nationally and second in the Big Ten conference, according to 247Sports.

The Ducks hold commitments from three five-star recruits and a host of four-star talent across the country. Lanning spoke about the program's tremendous recruiting spree during Oregon's spring practices:

"We always recruit. It doesn’t ever feel like we’re not recruiting. We are going to get some opportunities for our coaches to go on the road and see some people in person, get to be around guys that we want to target, and find some guys that we probably don’t know about. You’re always looking for ways to improve your roster and that’s what we’ll be able to do the next couple of weeks." [H/T Rivals]

Let's take a closer look at the Oregon Ducks' top three recruits.

Oregon Ducks' top 3 recruits so far

#3 Dorian Brew

Dorian Brew, from Conroe High School in Texas, quickly established himself as a five-star prospect. Many top schools took notice, and one of them succeeded in acquiring Brew's services. The 6-foot-2 cornerback announced his commitment to the Ducks last Saturday.

He talked about his decision to commit to Oregon over schools like Texas and Ohio State:

"From the jump they made it known that I was a must have for them," Brew told On3. "Who doesn’t want to play for a defensive head coach as a DB? I also feel that I’m going to fit perfectly in their defense. Coach Hamp and Coach Lupoi want me to be a big corner who can go outside and play in the slot and use my size and speed to my advantage."

The five-star recruit is the No. 29 ranked player nationally, as per On3's rankings. He is also the fourth-best cornerback in the nation and is the eighth-best overall prospect from the state of Texas, according to On3.

#2 Dallas Wilson

Dallas Wilson was among the earliest top prospects to announce his commitment to the Ducks. The wide receiver from Tampa Bay Tech High School in Florida gave a verbal commitment to the Ducks just hours after receiving an offer from the school.

Talking to ScoopDuck after receiving an offer from Oregon:

"My coach told me. I was ecstatic and very overwhelmed, but I eventually came to my senses. ... Oregon has been my dream school since I was a little, but that doesn’t mean I committed just because of that reason.
"The reason I committed to Oregon so early in the process was because I felt like family in the few minutes we had to talk. And I felt like I can relate and be in a position where my family has never been."

Wilson is the 26th-best prospect in the nation, according to On3, and is the fifth-best player at his position. He is ranked as the No. 4 prospect in the state of Florida.

#1 Dakorien Moore

Dan Lanning and the Ducks landed their biggest target on Thursday when the nation's No. 1 wide receiver pledged his commitment to the program. The 5-foot-11 athlete from Duncanville High School chose Oregon over Texas, LSU and Ohio State.

Moore spoke about Oregon and the coaching staff during the On3 Elite Series in May:

"I love how open I can be when I’m out there. Their uniforms and their style, they’re just different. It’s unique, and it’s not really comparable to any other school I’m looking at. I just think they have great coaches in general.
"Coach Lanning knows how to judge people, and he is a good judge of character. ... And with Coach Adams, he’s just a well-rounded good coach, good mentor and a good person to be around."

Moore is the third-best overall prospect in the nation and is the best wide receiver from his class. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Texas.
