Four-star tight end Kaiden Prothro is one of the most promising prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. Seven schools trying to reach out to the Bowdon High School (Georgia) standout are Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas and Florida State.
The prospect recorded three receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown last week. He is the No. 1 tight end in the 2026 class, the No. 2 recruit in Georgia and the No. 17 prospect in the nation.

3. Florida
The Florida Gators are a serious contender for Prothro. The four-star tight end visited The Swamp on Oct. 19 and witnessed the school's 48–20 victory over Kentucky. During his visit, he met tight end coach Russ Callaway.
“They’ve always been up there in the top and they have a pretty good offense going on right now," Prothro told Gators Online.
Florida's 2026 class is headlined by four-star quarterback Will Griffin, ranking No. 14 in the nation and No. 7 in the Southeastern Conference. The cycle also has four-star cornerback Jaelen Waters and three-star safety Devin Jackson locked in.
2. Auburn
The Auburn Tigers have made Prothro a top priority in the 2026 cycle. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the school has a 17.3% chance of landing the tight end. His relationship with the Tigers’ coaching staff and the program’s focus on tight-end utilization make the team an attractive option.
Auburn, ranking No. 8 in the nation and No. 4 in the Southeastern Conference, has five committed prospects in the 2026 class. They are edge rusher Hezekiah Harris, wide receiver Denairius Gray, safety Wayne Henry and linebackers Shadarius Toodle and JaMichael Garrett.
1. Georgia
As a Georgia native, Prothro has a deep familiarity with the Bulldogs’ program, which made them the leading contender for his commitment. Georgia has hosted him on numerous visits, and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Bulldogs a 24.6% chance of securing his pledge.
Georgia has a tight end commit in the 2026 class in three-star prospect Lincoln Keyes. The cycle also has three other committed players: defensive lineman Seven Cloud, cornerback Jontavius Wyman and wide receiver Vance Spafford. It ranks No. 11 in the nation and No. 6 in the Southeastern Conference.
