Halloween season is here, and so is Hulu’s “Huluween” month, which has brought to us the Justin Harding directorial, Carved, the latest horror comedy movie on the streaming platform. Released on October 21, 2024, this new movie introduces viewers to an incredibly wacky concept: a killer pumpkin bent on avenging his fellow produce who have been carved for the Halloween season.

The movie takes place on the spooky holiday in a historical reenactment village, and the story follows a heartbroken teenage playwright, her younger brother, and a disparate group of survivors who have been trapped and must band together to survive the relentless assault by a vengeful pumpkin.

It appears that the moment people start a pumpkin carving contest, an unnamed killer pumpkin shows up and kills them to avenge his fellow produce who have been carved up. The killer pumpkin stops at nothing, and deadly roots appear through its eyes, ripping the heads off of anyone in his path.

1) Peyton Elizabeth Lee as Kira

Peyton Elizabeth Lee is an American actor who is best known for starring in the titular role of the Disney Channel comedy-drama series Andi Mack (2017–2019) and also for appearing on Secret Society of Second-Born Royals (2020) and Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. (2021–2023).

Before making her debut in television series, Lee featured in numerous commercials for Sprint, Carnival Cruises, Petco, Apple's iPhone 6s, and JCPenney. She has also appeared in three episodes of Shameless as a "girl soldier" and on one episode of Scandal as "Violet", a spelling bee champion.

Lee has also performed in Debbie Allen's Hot Chocolate Nutcracker at the Royce Hall at UCLA. She was also a part of the Disney Junior animated series The Lion Guard where she appeared as Rani in nine episodes from the third season. Lee has also starred in the lead role of Mandy Yang in the television film Prom Pact alongside Milo Manheim.

In August 2022, Peyton Lee was cast in the animated feature film Wildwood, an adaptation of the 2011 novel by Colin Meloy. The movie is set to be released in 2025. She plays Kira, a heartbroken playwright in Hulu's latest horror comedy, Carved.

2) Corey Fogelmanis as Cody

Corey Fogelmanis appears in a lead role as Cody alongside Lee, in Hulu's Carved. Fogelmanis is best known as the lead in Tommy Dorfman's directorial debut I Wish You All the Best where he appeared alongside Lena Dunham, Alexandra Daddario, and Cole Sprouse. Recently, he was seen as Nathan Walter in Netflix's debut hit series My Life With the Walter Boys.

Fogelmanis is also known for playing 'Farkle' on the Emmy-nominated Disney series Girl Meets World with Sabrina Carpenter, and for starring with Oscar winner Octavia Spencer in Universal Pictures' thriller MA. He is set to play a lead role in the upcoming independent suspense/drama film One Stupid Thing.
