Canucks lineup tonight: Vancouver's projected lineup for game against Ottawa Senators | Dec. 21, 2024
The Vancouver Canucks will look to snap a two-game skid that has seen them go just 2-3 over their last five when they face off with the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. While Vancouver will be looking to get back in the win column tonight, Ottawa will be looking to extend a five-game win streak that most recently saw the team pick up a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames in overtime.
After winning their division last season, the Canucks have struggled to find the same success this year. Currently, the team is in fourth place with a record of 16-10-6, two points behind the third-place Edmonton Oilers.
On the flip side, after winning seven of its last 10, Ottawa is in fifth place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 17-13-2. Heading into tonight's game, the team is just two points behind both the Bruins and the Lightning, who sit just ahead of them in the standings with 38 points.
While Vancouver is reporting a clean bill of health for tonight's game, it will be without Filip Hronek, whose status remains unchanged since he was ruled out for the next eight weeks in early December.

Looking at the odds for tonight's Canucks vs. Senators game, as well as upcoming games on Vancouver's schedule to wrap up the month
Heading into tonight's game, hockey fans seem pretty split when it comes to who gets the win tonight.
On FanDuel, Vancouver is a -142 favorite. However, on the flip side, Ottawa is a +118 underdog. Meanwhile, on both BallyBet and BetRiver, Vancouver is a -165 favorite while Ottawa is a +135 underdog.
If these lines remain consistent between now and puck drop, it would take a $142 bet on the Canucks on FanDuel to win $100, while a $100 bet on Ottawa as the underdog would win $118.
Following tonight's game between the Canucks and the Senators, Vancouver will host the San Jose Sharks on Monday before enjoying four days off. When the team returns to the ice, it will host the Seattle Kraken on Saturday, Dec. 28, before wrapping up the month with a road game against the Flames on Dec. 31.
