"Absolutely heartbroken": Max Domi pens emotional post after Greg Harden's death

Max Domi shared a heartfelt message on Instagram after the death of Greg Harden, a respected life coach and counselor. Harden, who spent years working with University of Michigan athletes and later with the Toronto Maple Leafs, died at 75.

He had gone to hospital for a procedure, but complications arose, eventually leading to his death, as confirmed by the University of Michigan. In his tribute, Domi reflected on his close relationship with Harden, expressing how much their conversations meant to him.

"Absolutely heartbroken. Going to miss you so much G. I’m praying for Brian, Victor, Olivia, Shelia and the rest of the Harden family", a part of his post said.

He shared memories of their long talks and how Harden’s presence brightened the room. Domi also recalled Harden’s ability to give honest advice, saying that he never hesitated to speak the truth, no matter the situation.

Max Domi offered condolences to Harden’s family comprising Brian, Victor, Olivia and Sheila. He also spoke about a recent weekend he spent with Harden, calling it one of the best moments of his life. He described how people’s faces would light up when they saw Harden, noting how Harden had a unique ability to uplift others.

Domi expressed his gratitude for the time they had together and said that he would carry Harden’s lessons with him. He promised to honor Harden’s teachings and give his best in everything he does. Domi also shared Harden’s advice about teamwork and mental strength and how important those words are to him.

To conclude, Max Domi shared that he believes they have “unfinished business” and that he looks forward to sharing more stories with Harden some day. Until then, Domi vowed to keep Harden’s legacy alive.

Harden dedicated more than 30 years to guiding and mentoring athletes, including NFL star Tom Brady. Over the years, he became an essential figure in the athletic department, eventually becoming associate athletic director.

Even after retiring full-time in 2019, Harden stayed connected in an advisory role and continued working with the Toronto Maple Leafs.


Max Domi honored Johnny Gaudreau following biking accident tragedy

Max Domi honored Johnny Gaudreau on Instagram following Gaudreau’s death. On August 29, Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were killed in a biking accident in Oldmans Township, New Jersey.

They were there for their sister’s wedding. The accident happened when a driver, possibly drunk, hit them. Domi shared the story on Instagram and wrote:

"Devastating. Always smiling. Always happy. Incredible guy. Everyone loves Johnny. Rest in peace brother."

The hockey community remembers Johnny and Matthew for their kindness and positivity.
