"Already starting this LTIR bs": NHL fans in disbelief as Golden Knights announce Mark Stone's injury status
NHL fans were disappointed to learn that Vegas Golden Knights forward Mark Stone is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He did not play in Friday’s game against the Seattle Kraken as Jonas Rondbjerg took his place in the lineup.
Stone has six goals and 15 assists in 13 games. It’s still unclear if Stone will return for Monday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Golden Knights shared the update on X:

Vegas played without Mark Stone in 4-3 overtime loss
The Seattle Kraken beat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in overtime on Friday, snapping a four-game losing streak. Vegas played without its captain, Mark Stone.
Vegas started strong as Pavel Dorofeyev scored first on a 5-on-3 power play, putting them up 1-0 in the first period. Soon after, Nicolas Roy extended the lead to 2-0 by tapping in a pass from Ivan Barbashev.
Seattle answered back when Brandon Tanev intercepted a pass and scored on a breakaway to make it 2-1 late in the first period. In the second period, Tanev tied the game 2-2 after a pass from Tye Kartye.
In the third period, Oliver Bjorkstrand gave Seattle a 3-2 lead after Adin Hill tried to poke-check the puck away but missed. Vegas equalized at 3-3 with 1:22 left when Alex Pietrangelo’s pass deflected off a Seattle defender’s skate into the net.
In overtime, Jared McCann ended the game just 29 seconds in. He received a pass, skated in on a breakaway, and lifted the puck over Hill’s left pad to give Seattle the win. Despite missing Stone, Vegas played hard, gaining one point for reaching overtime.
