Can the public attend the 2024 NHL draft? Dining, attractions and other things to do at mega event at the Sphere
Can fans attend the NHL draft? Being at the draft in person is something a lot of other sports leagues allow. The ability to have cheering fans supporting a pick as it's being made, or in some cases booing the pick, is a huge part of the atmosphere. It's an entertainment event, not just a business formality for teams to get new players.
Fortunately, the NHL mirrors those other sports. Fans and the general public can go to the draft and watch their teams draft the next superstar. This year, the draft is being held in a notorious tourist city: Las Vegas. That means there's plenty for fans to enjoy at the NHL draft in 2024.
What fans can do at the NHL draft event in Las Vegas
The 2024 Upper Deck NHL draft will be held June 27-29, so there will be three days of incredible events. Part of this will be the draft itself, but that is far from the only attraction.
Here are some of the impressive points of interest at the Sphere, the recently constructed venue for concerts and, evidently, drafts:
- Shark Reef Aquarium
- The Adventuredome Casino
- Springs Preserve
- Fun Dungeon at Tournament of Kings
- Hershey's Chocolate World
- The Big Apple Roller Coaster
- High Roller at the LINQ Promenade
- Thrill Rides and Observation Deck
- Meow Wolf's Omega Mart
There are also plenty of excellent dining options in the immediate area. Fans can eat at Carversteak, Famous Foods Street Eats, Best Friend, Beerhaus, Chickie and Pete's, Oscar's Steakhouse, Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen, Crush, Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Grill and Top of the World.
Of course, the venue is in Las Vegas. So if fans decided to venture outside the immediate area where these POIs are, they could find plenty of entertainment and food. Las Vegas is a bustling city with plenty to do, see and eat, so there will be no shortage of entertainment during the NHL draft.
Before or after a fan's favorite team makes a crucial selection, they can go celebrate or mourn with all sorts of food, drink and entertainment.
