In Photos: William Karlsson, wife Emily take Halloween inspiration from $1 billion grossing franchise 'Dune'
Vegas Golden Knights alternate captain William Karlsson and his wife Emily wowed fans this Halloween with costumes inspired by the popular film franchise "Dune," featuring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. The couple dressed up as characters Paul Atreides and Lady Jessica from the $1.005 billion grossing movie.
On Wednesday, Emily Karlsson posted a carousel of pictures on her Instagram account featuring their Halloween look. Emily also shared the original pictures from the movie that inspired their costumes. In the caption, she wrote:
“Power over spice is power over all ₪ #dunepart2 #halloween swipe over for inspo pics and the movie scene that inspired this idea!”
William Karlsson wore a black robe that had a layered design, akin to the desert clothing seen in "Dune." Underneath, he wore a beige outfit that mimicked a stillsuit. He also sported a black model of the Fremen breathing apparatus as seen in the movie franchise.
Emily dressed as Lady Jessica, wearing a cream-colored gown featuring intricate details similar to what Rebecca Ferguson wore in the movie. She also wore a headpiece, adorned with a chain and jewels across her forehead and a light veil draped around her shoulders.
Emily and William Karlsson are expecting a second baby
William and Emily are already parents to one child. Their son Beckham William Karlsson was born on May 12, 2023.
Earlier in June, the couple announced that they are expecting their second child by the end of the year. The couple revealed the happy announcement on Instagram with an adorable post.
"Our family is growing Baby Karlsson #2 is joining us in December and we couldn’t be happier 🤍 Beckham is going to be the BEST Big Brother," Emily Karlsson wrote in the caption.
Emily and William tied the knot on July 23, 2022, at Resorts World Las Vegas. The couple has been together since 2017 and moved in together in Las Vegas in 2019 after William signed an eight-year contract with the Golden Knights.
Emily once shared the story of how she and William first met during an interview with Bachelor Nation. She recounted how they started talking on social media and found chemistry since the first time they met up.
“I don’t know it’s honestly such a weird story. I think it’s so weird that you can meet someone on social media and send them a DM and now I’m marrying him, I think it’s just a weird, bizarre story,” Emily said.
"I met up with him and we were just inseparable ever since, and he’s from Sweden, so I was always convinced that men from a different country were nice," Emily added.
Emily also revealed that her sister, Haley, found her husband Oula through a similar search on William's Instagram followers.
