J.T. Miller's wife Natalie discloses hosting family of young cancer patient Eamonn at the Millers' family suite at Rogers Arena
Vancouver Canucks alternate captain J.T. Miller and his wife, Natalie, continue to make a difference off the ice by opening their VIP suite, “Cloud 9,” to families facing difficult challenges. The Millers bought the suite at Rogers Arena this season with the purpose of donating it weekly to families of children battling illnesses or disabilities, allowing them to enjoy a Canucks game in a special way.
On Tuesday, Natalie Miller shared on her Instagram stories that they had the pleasure of hosting the family of Eamonn, a young cancer patient, at Cloud 9. She reposted a video shared by Outway featuring Eamonn’s story as part of a fundraising campaign by Island Kids Cancer Association.
Eamonn designed colorful socks to help raise funds for programs supporting children and families affected by cancer. Natalie reposted the video from the organization encouraging people to purchase socks featuring Eamonn’s designs, Dreams Gone Wild and Stay Strong, as a way to support the cause.
In the caption, Natalie wrote:
“Got lucky enough to have this crew in the cloud last night! @outwaysocks @islandkidscancerassociation @jenmacleanmillar.”
Natalie also shared another heartwarming picture on her stories, showing off her own pair of Eamonn’s socks.
“ANNNNND I GOT A PAIR OF HIS AWESOME SOCKS!!!” she wrote.
Earlier last month, Natalie shared on Instagram that she is becoming a stem cell donor after meeting a young girl named Navy and her family during their first Cloud 9 visit. Inspired by their conversation, Natalie learned how simple the process is and decided to join the donor registry.
J.T. Miller’s wife Natalie reactivated her Instagram account amid wild speculations
J.T. Miller returned to the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup on Thursday and helped lead the team to a big 4-0 win over the Florida Panthers. While fans were happy to see Miller back on the ice, there had been a lot of talk about his time away from the team.
Last month, the Canucks announced Miller was stepping away for "personal reasons." Almost immediately, rumors started flying, and things got worse when his wife, Natalie, deleted her Instagram account.
There were even rumors of a possible rift between the Millers until reporter Patrick Johnston from The Province stepped in to explain that Natalie deleted the account to avoid a flood of negative comments and messages during a difficult time.
This week, Natalie reactivated her Instagram account, and fans quickly noticed. J.T. Miller has not shared details about why he was away, but the crowd at Rogers Arena showed him a lot of love, cheering loudly when his name was announced.
