K'Andre Miller shares fresh hairstyle inspired by Odell Beckham Jr.'s time with New York Giants

New York Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller debuted a new hairstyle inspired by Odell Beckham Jr. Miller dyed his hair blonde as a tribute to the football star.

"I haven’t come up with a name yet but it is fully inspired by Odell Beckham Jr. when he was with the Giants,” he said on Friday (per New York Post).

Miller used to play football in high school and admired Beckham’s style and performance. He shared this new look during the Rangers' practice and caught fans' attention. B/R Open Ice shared photos on X, formerly Twitter, confirming Miller’s hairstyle was inspired by OBJ.

“I loved his game and loved what he brought to the field... Everyone is good with it … now,” Miller added.

In addition to his hairstyle change, Miller reflected on his performance last season. He is disappointed with his play and used the summer to improve. Miller aims to make a bigger impact for the Rangers this season.

, now entering his fifth year in the NHL, is set to play a key role in the Rangers’ defense alongside Braden Schneider. The team is excited for the upcoming season and ready to build on last year’s efforts.

K'Andre Miller's role in Rangers blue line and pairing possibility

The New York Rangers must improve their defense, and K'Andre Miller could help. The Rangers' defense was strong last season, but much of the success came from great goaltending. The top pair of Adam Fox and Ryan Lindgren struggled to control the game, showing poor expected goal percentages of around 50%.

Miller has the potential to step up. He is a strong skater and a reliable penalty killer. He alongside Fox performed well for a limited time last season. Giving Miller more time with Fox could help strengthen the defense.

Miller has the skills to complement Fox. Some believe he could become a star defender, similar to Matias Ekholm’s role with PK Subban in Nashville. The Rangers have nothing to lose by trying this pairing out.

While the team might still explore trades before the 2025 deadline, they should give Miller a chance to prove himself. If he works well with Fox, it could be a big step toward improving the Rangers' defense. The Rangers fans also have their eyes on Matt Rempe's role on the blue line.
