Matt Rempe discloses his off-season routine at Jonathan Quick's home with $45,500,000 Rangers star

Matt Rempe discussed his off-season training at Fanatics Fest in New York City. He trained at Jonathan Quick's home in Connecticut. He also shared that he is working with Rangers star Chris Kreider. Kreider is under a seven-year, $45,500,000 contract with the Rangers.

Talking about summer in New York, Rempe shared:

"Yeah. I went home to Calgary for a month, stayed with the family, with my mom, and it was great to be home for a little bit. But then I came back out to Connecticut a month ago and been living with Jonathan quick and his family there. They've been unbelievable, taking me under their wings and training with them out in Connecticut, apprentice and working out. So she's going really well. Yeah."

The Fanatics Fest, running from Friday to Sunday at the Javits Center, features many sports legends. Henrik Lundqvist, Mike Richter, Auston Matthews, Derek Jeter and Tom Brady are among them.

The event includes autograph sessions, photo ops and interactive panels with athletes. It offers a mix of sports collectibles, memorabilia, and live discussions. Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin compared it to Comic-Con for sports.

"In sports, nothing like this exists," Rubin said via CBS on Monday. "When I went to Comic Con I'm like, 'We need this for sports.' That's when we said we're going to build it."

New York Rangers HC Peter Laviolette on Matt Rempe

New York Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette believes Matt Rempe has a chance to be in the opening-night lineup. Rempe gained popularity last season for his physical play and willingness to fight. However, he struggled sometimes due to limited ice time and being a healthy scratch.

Rempe is determined to be a full-time NHL player. Laviolette noted that Rempe needs to improve various aspects of his game.

"His evaluation is probably honest and fair that he's got to continue to work at all aspects of his game, as a lot of young players do," Laviolette said (via NHL.com) "He was a guy that came up and he made so much noise. You say, what is it that he has to do [to make opening night roster]? Well, there's a lot of things."

Rempe trained with former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque in Edmonton for five weeks.
