Phil Kessel's wife Sandra pens 4-word reaction to daughter Kapri's Christmas pic with Santa
3x Stanley Cup champion Phil Kessel and his wife Sandra have an adorable daughter, Kapri Mary Kessel. She is now two years old, born in March 2022.
This holiday season, Kapri went to visit Santa Claus with her mother and had her wishlist hand-delivered to Santa. On Sunday, Sandra Kessel shared a series of pictures and clips on her Instagram stories from their Christmas outing.
One of the stories captured young Kapri posing beside Santa Claus. She wore a cute blue dress with white stripes and matching sneakers. Meanwhile, Santa sat on his ornate armchair beside a Christmas tree and leaned in towards Kapri while reading her wishlist.
“Show me something cuter”, Sandra Kessel wrote in the caption with a teary eyed emoji.
The next clip showed Kapri going over to Santa to hand over her wishlist while clutching a blue and white deer plushie. She then ran back to hug her mom as Santa collected the envelope.
The last story saw Kapri getting ready at home in her blue dress. She walked along their hallway and put on a pair of black shades while her mother filmed her.
Phil Kessel is pursuing his non-hockey passion
Phil Kessel has not yet been signed by an NHL team for the 2023-24 season. Despite this, Kessel has not officially retired. The veteran forward remains open to return to the sport he has played for so long.
In the meantime, Kessel has announced a partnership with the World Poker Tour (WPT). Poker has been his longtime passion and this partnership is something that Kessel mentioned being excited about. Sharing the news on Instagram, he wrote:
“Excited to join WPT GLOBAL! Poker & hockey have always been a passion of mine. I look forward to playing poker with everyone on @wptglobal and at WPT events. Good luck trying to stack me ♠️”
He also provided a promo code for fans who wish to join him.
Despite his poker ventures, Kessel is still keen to play hockey. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman recently revealed that Kessel has been actively reaching out to teams and expressed his desire to return to the NHL.
“He wants to play, I've heard this,” Friedman said via Sportsnet. “So, Paul Bissonnette had a tweet this week about 'How come Kessel can't get a job?' and I was looking at it because I had heard, and I was gonna check, that Kessel was calling teams and really wanted to play. That seems to confirm it, and then I heard from a couple of people that he's legit about it.”
Phil Kessel last played for the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2022-23 season, helping them secure their first Stanley Cup.
