"Time to blow it up, it's fire sale time": Blueshirts fans in despair as Rangers lose third straight after 5-2 defeat to Blues

The New York Rangers lost their third straight game on Monday, falling 5-2 to the St. Louis Blues at Madison Square Garden. The victory marked Jim Montgomery's first win as the Blues' coach.

After the game, the Rangers shared the result on X (formerly Twitter).

Replying to which fans reacted with frustration.

"Time to blow it up. It’s fire sale time, Mr. Drury," one fan said.
"Unwatchable team. Shameful. Losing isn’t shameful. Half-assing it night after night is shameful," another fan said.
"If Matt Rempe focused on actually scoring goals instead of laying out dirty hits to people half his size and going after players who'd just had a 2:30 shift, maybe he'd actually be something better than a below average fourth liner!" a fan said.

The Rangers are struggling, and fans are calling for changes. Here are some more reactions from fans X:

"Unwatchable team. Shameful. Losing isn’t shameful. Half assing it night after night is shameful," a fan said.
"This team has a ways to go before they will be competitive enough to make the playoffs and have a deep run. They are lifeless for the most part out there. Where is the dedication and all out effort? They are coasting through these last 3 games. Cuylle is the only exception," another fan said.
"Miller is an absolute joke. Did you see him run into Shnider and cause a breakaway. What an absolute joke. Only reason he is on this team is because he is black and they are playing the woke game," one fan said.

St. Louis Blues secured a 5-2 win over Rangers

The Rangers opened the scoring at 8:47 of the first period when Will Cuylle scored. Jordan Kyrou tied the game 1-1 at 11:45. Brayden Schenn stole the puck behind the net and passed to Kyrou, who scored with a one-timer.

Zack Bolduc gave the Blues a 2-1 lead at 4:30 of the second period. He found a loose puck in the slot and scored. Cuylle tied it again at 7:20, finishing a pass from Mika Zibanejad after a scramble in front of the net.
