Valeri Bure's wife Candace Bure shares video of Pastor Josh Howerton subtly hinting at support for Donald Trump
NHL legend Valeri Bure's wife and American actress Candace Cameron Bure is quite vocal when it comes to inspiring others to practice faith. With the U.S. presidential elections underway in their last stretch, Candace urged her fellow Americans to go ahead and vote.
On Sunday, Candace posted a story on her Instagram where she shared a YouTube video of Pastor Josh Howerton. Candace urged her followers to vote, posting the pastor’s message on Instagram for Christians unsure about their voting choices.
“Christian... If you are undecided on whether to vote or who to vote for, please watch!!”
Throughout the sermon, Pastor Howerton didn’t directly endorse any candidate, but his points aligned with values often associated with Republican nominee Donald Trump’s platform, like protecting traditional family structures and opposing liberal policies on issues like transgender rights, family values and abortion.
“Ask yourself, which candidate will best limit the taking of unborn lives?” Howerton said in the video.
Howerton also referenced Trump’s achievement in overturning Roe v. Wade as a win for pro-life Christians, contrasting it with opposing views that favor extensive abortion rights.
“Let me say a few uncomfortable things. Mature Christians do not vote based on superficial things. They don’t vote on vibes or looks. We shouldn’t vote on ‘he’s got the same skin color as me’ or ‘she’d be the first woman president,’” Howerton said.
He argued that “godly people” need to step up and take responsibility for the nation’s leadership or risk “godless” policies taking over. While he refrained from naming Trump, he pointed out that recent GOP policies tend to reflect the church’s moral concerns better than others.
Candace Bure’s latest holiday movie set for release this November
Candace Cameron Bure is the queen of feel-good holiday films, and she is returning to screens this November with "A Christmas Less Traveled," which is a new Christmas movie by Great American Family. In the new movie, Candace stars alongside Eric Johnson and takes on the role of Desi, a diner owner facing tough choices to keep her family legacy alive.
Earlier, Bure shared her excitement about the movie and has been promoting it on her Instagram among fans.
“A Christmas Less Traveled gently challenges us to truly embrace every moment we share with our families, friends and loved ones. It reminds us that forgiving ourselves and others is the pathway to set ourselves free,” Bure said about the Christmas movie. [H/T Parade]
In "A Christmas Less Traveled," Bure’s character Desi runs a small-town diner called Dine and Dash but faces financial difficulties as bills pile up. To cover costs, she sells her beloved 1964 Ford F-100, which was a special keepsake from her late father.
However, as she prepares to part with the truck, Desi finds an old cassette from her dad that asks her to revisit their family house one last time in the truck. On her way, she eventually meets Greyson (played by Eric Johnson), who offers her to pay in exchange for a ride, and the film follows their road trip.
Set to premiere on Great American Family, "A Christmas Less Traveled" is part of the channel’s holiday lineup.
