Oilers lineup tonight: Edmonton's projected lineup for game against San Jose Sharks | Dec. 21, 2024
On Saturday, the Edmonton Oilers (19-11-2) will look to make it back-to-back wins when they face off with the San Jose Sharks (17-13-4) after a 3-2 OT win over the Boston Bruins on Thursday. After getting off to a rough start this season following a Game 7 loss in the Stanley Cup Finals last year, the team has hit their stride as of late.
After winning eight of their last ten, the Oilers are No. 3 in a competitive Pacific Division, two points behind the second-place Los Angeles Kings. On the flip side, San Jose is sitting at the bottom of the Pacific Division, one point outside of seventh place.
Heading into the game Edmonton is reporting a clean bill of health, with no further updates on winger Evander Kane, who remains out after an abdominal injury landed him on the long-term injured reserve list back in early October.

Looking at the odds for tonight's Oilers vs Sharks game, and upcoming games on Edmonton's schedule
Heading into tonight's game between Edmonton and San Jose, it should come as no surprise that the Oilers are sitting as comfortable betting favorites given how well the team has played as of late.
On both BallyBet and BetRiver, Edmonton is a -375 favorite while on the flip side, San Jose is a +290 underdog. If these lines remain consistent between now and the opening faceoff, it would take a $375 bet on Edmonton to win $100 while a $100 bet on San Jose could win $290.
Following the game against the Sharks, the Oilers will host the Ottawa Senators on Sunday in the second leg of a back-to-back. The team will then hit the road for a two-game stretch that will begin with a trip to Los Angeles for a divisional showdown with the LA Kings next Saturday.
From there, the team will head to Anaheim the following day for a clash with the Ducks on Sunday, Dec. 29, before heading back home to wrap up the month with a game against the Utah Hockey Club.
