Rangers lineup tonight: New York's projected lineup for game against Dallas Stars | Dec. 20, 2024
The New York Rangers (15-15-1) will look to snap a three-game streak when they face the Dallas Stars (19-12-0) on Friday. Although the Rangers started the season as one of the best teams in the NHL, they have struggled to maintain their consistency since the end of November.
After winning just three of their last ten games, and four of their last fifteen, the team has fallen to sixth in a competitive Metropolitan Division standings. On the flip side, the Dallas Stars continue to make a strong push in the Central Division, where they sit in third place, six points behind the second-place Minnesota Wild.
When the Rangers take the ice tonight, they will be without K'Andre Miller, who is on the injured reserve list with an upper-body injury. In addition, it's unclear whether Artemi Panarin will play tonight after going through a non-contact practice. Currently, he is listed as day-to-day with the hope being that he'll play.

Looking at the odds for tonight's game between the Rangers and the Stars, and upcoming games on New York's schedule
Heading into Friday's game between the Rangers and the Stars, Dallas is sitting as a comfortable betting favorite across major US sportsbooks given their play as of late.
On FanDuel, Dallas is a -192 favorite while New York is a +158 underdog. On DraftKings, it's more of the same, with Dallas as a -192 favorite and New York as a +160 underdog.
If these lines remain consistent between now and the opening face-off, it would take a $192 bet on Dallas to win $100, while a $100 bet on New York could win $160.
Following tonight's game, the Rangers will head back home to host the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday, before hitting the road for the second leg of a back-to-back against the Devils on Monday.
From there the team will wrap up the month with a road game against the Tampa Bay Lightning next Saturday, and a showdown with the defending Stanley Cup Champions on Monday, Dec. 30.
