Paris Olympics 2024 will host a strong USA Gymnastics squad led by Simone Biles (women) and Brody Malone (men). While the men's team will be looking to end their medal drought, the women's team is eyeing ‘redemption’ after a relatively underwhelming outing in 2021.
Student-athletes have always been an integral part of USA Gymnastics, with several players still in their collegiate careers winning medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships. Some gymnasts, like Jade Carey and Suni Lee, hadn't even joined the schools when they won gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics.
As the USA Gymnastics Team for the Paris Olympics 2024 was unveiled, several NCAA gymnasts were added to the roster. Carey leads the way having competed in the 2024 NCAA Championships.

#Jade Carey-OSU Beavers
Carey was 21 years old when she won gold in the floor exercise at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She joined Oregon State University following the event and made her NCAA debut on January 15, 2022.
Carey won silver on uneven bars in the 2022 NCAA Championships. In 2023, she won a silver medal on the balance beam. Her biggest success came at the 2024 NCAA Championships, where she won three medals. Carey secured silver medals on all-around and floor, plus a bronze on balance beam.
Jade Carey came fourth at the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Trials and was named to the five-member team for the Paris Olympics.
#Jordan Chiles-UCLA Bruins
Jordan Chiles was an all-around medal contender at Tokyo Olympics but she fell twice in the qualification rounds and didn't make it to the finals. However, she played a vital role in the USA's silver medal victory.
Chiles joined UCLA at the end of 2021 but couldn't win any medal in the 2022 NCAA Championships. However, she produced stellar performances in 2023, winning gold medals on uneven bars and floor exercise. She was also the runner-up in the all-around competition.
The 23-year-old took a break for the 2023-24 season to focus on preparations for the Paris Olympics 2024. Her decision paid dividends as she finished behind Simone Biles at the trials to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024.
#Fred Richard-Michigan Wolverines
Fred Richard is one of the brightest prospects among America’s male gymnasts and a strong contender for a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. He won the bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships in the all-around competition.
Richard competes for Michigan University, starting his collegiate career in the 2022-23 season. The 20-year-old has been highly impressive, winning three gold medals at the 2023 NCAA Championships in all-around, parallel bars, and horizontal bar competitions. He also won silver in team and floor exercise competitions. At the 2024 NCAA Championships, Richard secured three silver medals in still rings, all-around, and team competitions.
He won the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Trials with a score of 170.500 to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024. He is joined by Brody Malone, Paul Juda, Asher Hong, and Stephan Nedoroscik in the team.
