Anna Hall on making it to the Paris Olympics
Anna Hall competed in the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in 2021 in a quest to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. However, the 23-year-old's dreams were crushed after she fell on the ground during the hurdles and injured her navicular bone. After recovering from the injury, Hall got back on the track once again, keeping her sights set on the Olympic Games in Paris.
After qualifying for the Paris Olympics, she spoke to Olympics.com and said:
"I've wanted this for so long and my Olympic journey has been really, really hard. 2021 was absolutely devastating. It's just been a lot of adversity and a lot of doubt. And so, just the relief. Like, we finally made it. I'm just really thankful."
Moreover, Anna Hall also opened up about taking advice from the legendary athlete Jackie Joyner-Kersee while preparing for the Paris Olympics.
"There's a huge mentorship there; it's meant the world. She called me three times last week and said, 'I'm calling you every other day; I'm sorry if I'm annoying you.' She told me that I needed to believe in myself,"she added.
Anna Hall is yet to release an official update about her plans for the rest of the 2024 season.
